Garden Party

Garden Party

Enjoyed the most delightful garden party with neighbors and friends. This year’s theme was Jazz in the Garden, where we thoroughly enjoyed a local pianist while neighbors noshed on yummy chicken salad sandwiches on buttery croissants, pasta salad, and the biggest hit of all the yummiest Lavender Lemonade!

For the large floral wall, I added on greenery, hundreds of hydrangeas, and roses for the lush backdrop.

During the afternoon, as neighbors enjoyed the weather, we were all graced by an amazing impromptu performance by one of our talented guests, singing John Legend’s Ordinary People elevated the party to the extraordinaire.

I purchased my red Magnolia fascinator from this great vendor from Etsy, who is super responsive with such beautifully detailed pieces (I previously purchased the prettiest butterfly hat for Preakness 2018). My dress was a 1950s inspired dress from Anthropologie purchased more than 10 years ago, and I add a wine-colored tulle skirt also from Etsy for extra full and bounciness, the final touch was a grosgrain ribbon from Michael’s in the perfect shade of wine. Such a wonderful afternoon…
